Yet, what questions might this statement pose in today's society? Our project 脱衣所 - (a) place to be naked, wishes to bring a new perspective on art making—stressing its intimate nature while elevating its political significance. The project space, named "Datsuijo," serves as the base for our collective activities, seeking an intermediate sphere between the private and the public. By carrying out experimental projects within this space, we investigate the present-day dynamics between ourselves and society. Extending from the intimacy of his bedroom to the collective space of the dancefloor, it weaves a narrative that provides a testimony to his existence and the collective memory of his surroundings. In a context where certain voices are permitted and encouraged to the detriment of others that are silenced, rendered invisible—made undetectable—Théophylle constructs this archive as a gesture of affirmation, resistance, and emancipation. Drawing on themes such as non-normative sexual practices, queer existence, and HIV-positivity, the assemblage of his works poses the question: how do we survive within the normative regimes without
